Highland Games Through Time-Book #2 is OUT!

As I mentioned in my post on Sept. 10th, my new series is called Highland Games Through Time. I have set the stories in both  present day, at Scottish Highland Games, and in 16th century Scotland. I am pleased to announce that the second book in the series is out!

My Banished Highlander, though readable as a stand-alone novel, does contain characters introduced in Book #1, My Honorable Highlander.

My hero in the second book is not so honorable! I combined my love of Highland Games, which I visit quite extensively, and all things Scottish. My hubby owns two kilts and belongs to both the Gunn Clan and the MacBeans. Here is some insight into this book:

Book Blurb of MY BANISHED HIGHLANDER

With a letter in her hand and a Highlander at her back, what could go wrong?

When his clan convicts Cameron Robeson of treason in 1598 Scotland, the last thing he thought his cousin the Laird would do was banish him to the future. With a certain woman on his mind, he plans revenge while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the modern day New England Highland Games. His plans go awry when a comely redheaded lass wearing the Mackenzie plaid lands at his feet.

Iona Mackenzie is worried about her friend, Haven, and searches for answers among the tents at the games. Whom can she trust to help? Her father? The handsome blacksmith? Or, the tall, golden-haired Highlander? Romance takes a back seat because saving her friend is her priority, no matter how great Cameron can kiss.

When a magical amulet and an angry sorcerer send this unlikely couple back through time, more than one heart will be broken. Danger, intrigue, and threats surround them, and feelings between Iona and Cameron grow hot and steamy. They fight the sorcerer and search for Iona’s friend, the woman he vowed to steal from his cousin. Will the strong-willed Highlander and the present day witch stop fighting long enough to listen to their hearts?

FIVE Star Review for THE EMBEZZLED ENVELOPE!!

Minx has done it again! Five stars for her latest murder mystery romance: THE EMBEZZLED ENVELOPE.

"In the sixth book of the Minx Tobin Mysteries, Susanne Marie Knight takes the newly engaged Minx and Gabe and plops them in the middle of a complex case that involves one of Minx’s co-workers. Minx tries to stay away from murder investigations, but they always seem to end up on her doorstep. While the Homicide department solves most of the cases on Gabe‘s desk, the murder case where Dallas Porter is the prime suspect is getting more complicated each day. New suspects are identified only to become victims themselves. Ms. Knight knows how to weave a murder mystery with lots of humor, unbelievable plot twists and a satisfying love story to keep the reader glued to the page. Can Gabe find the real murder before Minx becomes the next victim?"

Introducing...author Nancy Lee Badger

Tami has invited me to join fellow authors who have written a series and post the information here for all to see. Now that I have a series out, I am proud to join them!

A little background: I chose to set my series at present day Scottish Highland Games then gave them a paranormal twist using witches, Highlanders, and time travel. Why you ask?

For many, many years, my family and I have volunteered at the New Hampshire Highland Games. My husband has been giving his time for this huge three-day event for nearly 30 years! Ideas for a story were all around me, so I combined the sights and sounds of the athletes, bagpipes, marching bands, ethnic food, and colorful costumes to create my story.

My characters find themseleves flung out of their 'comfort zone'. What fun! Present day people are tossed into 16th century  Scotland, and 16th century Scottish hunks find themselves walking through the 21st century. It was fun to see these people struggle with what happens next.

The first book, My Honorable Highlander, was released last May and was my third attempt at Self-Publishing. I have books out with two publishers, but I had such success with my first attempt at 'doing it all myself' with my novella Dragon In The Mist, that I wanted this story 'out there'. The series, Highland Games Through Time, took off!
